You Should Know 

We have high standards...you should know Madison places a great deal of importance on the professionalism of our people.  In addition to the academic degrees of Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Juris Doctor (JD) held by many Madison professionals, many have also earned investment-related designations and certifications.

CFA - Chartered Financial Analyst:  the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) is the gold standard of investment professionals.  CFA charterholders have completed years of study, passed 3 exams and have met professional and ethical requirements.    The Economist writes, "The CFA is roughly equivalent to a specialized postgraduate finance degree." CFP - Certified Financial Planner:  the certification awarded to those who have passed the CFP Certification exam, the CFP Board's Candidate Fitness Standards and agree to ahere to rigorous standards and principles.  For more information see www.cfp.net.

CIMA - Certified Investment Management Analyst:  a credential signifying the professional has attained a level of competency as an advanced investment consultant.  The CIMA certification "integrates a complex body of investment knowledge to provide objective investment advice and guidance to individuals and institutions." CPA - Certified Public Accountant:  the certification earned by those who have passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination and have met additional educational and relevant work experience required for the certification.  For more information see www.aicpa.org.
